Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Rex Horne, Interim Pastor

Dr. Rex Horne, who served as president of Ouachita Baptist University at Arkadelphia for nine years, will serve as Nettleton Baptist Church Interim Pastor.

Horne grew up at Camden. He completed his freshman year at Ouachita before finishing his bachelor’s degree at Arkansas College (now Lyon). He later earned a master of divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary at Fort Worth and a doctor of ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Horne was the 15th president in the history of Ouachita, which was founded in 1886. Prior to becoming Ouachita’s president, he was the senior pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church at Little Rock for 16 years. Prior to becoming pastor at Immanuel, Horne served as a pastor in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma. He was president of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention from 1995-97.

Mike Hart, Executive Pastor


Bro.Mike’s main responsibility is leading our church in its discipleship and bible study ministries. He also serves as the church business administrator and biblical counselor. He is ACBC nationally certified counselor. Bro. Mike and his family served on church staffs in Texas, Mississippi and Ohio. He and his wife have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy. Bro. Mike has an undergraduate from Ouachita Baptist University and Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chris Ratley, Student Pastor


Chris has a passion for youth 7th through 12th grades and college students who are in need of a redeemer and desires for them to connect with Jesus who will sustain them daily, as they seek Christ. He is a talented minister that encourages our students to follow Christ in their everyday lives. Chris and his family served on church staffs in Texas and Arkansas. He and his wife have 3 children, 3 girls. Chris has an undergraduate from Ouachita Baptist University and Masters Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
