Here at NBC, we believe that Sunday School is very important in the spiritual development of your child. Our Sunday School teachers are committed to providing your child with a biblical foundation that your family can build on. Our classes are graded as follows:

We have a preteen ministry, called TAG.There is a vast difference between children and youth, and our goal for this ministry is to bridge the gap. We have totally restructured Sunday School to make it age appropriate, as well as discussing topics that our preteens are dealing with on a day to day basis. We also will be having special events and much, much more! If you have a desire to be a part of the preteen ministry from the ground up, please call Tammy Davenport.

The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to serve Him. This is the end result, but the method is FUN!
Awana is held each Wednesday night throughout the school year from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. We would for your child to come worship with us. All children, grades K-6, are welcome to come and take part!
Awana begins again on August 17th.
Our Children's Choir meets each Sunday night throughtout the school year. Beginning at 5:45, your child will learn to worship the Lord through music and drama. Each year they present a Christmas musical. They also perform at various times throughtout the year.
It starts September 11th.
Our Children's Choir is for children 1st - 6th grade, and we would love for your child to take part. If your child is interested, or you would like more information, please contact Tammy Davenport.
Our church, along with Walnut Street Baptist Church and First Baptist Church are sponsoring the Upward Sports Ministry again this year. Upward is a faith based basketball and cheerleading program that promotes good sportmanship, positive attitudes and always giving your best. This program is for children who are in Kindergarten throught the 4th grade. In Upward, every child plays no matter their skill level. The coaches and referees are positive role models for your children. No yelling or negative comments are allowed. The deadline for Upward is the last week in September and the cost is $65.00/child. Children's Church is an opportunity for our children in 1st through 3rd grade and 4th through 6th grades to learn how to participate in corporate worship. Right now we are going chronologically through the Bible; however, it's never to late to join us. We have a talented group of parents who are concerned about teaching our children not just about the Bible stories but how those lessons apply to our lives today. We accomplish this through songs, stories, dramas and craft activities that always reinforce what the Bible has to say. If you are a parent of a 1st through 3rd grader, and would like to be involved with this ministry, please let me know.
